Paradigm Backs Hyperliquid with Major Staking Move to Bolster HYPE Token
Paradigm has thrown its weight behind Hyperliquid through a substantial staking initiative, aiming to revive the HYPE native token after its value dipped below $40. The venture firm, one of the largest HYPE holders, deposited a significant portion of its holdings into staking, signaling strong institutional confidence. This move has tightened the supply-demand dynamics, pushing the SWPE metric to a new low—a bullish indicator for the token's stability.
On-chain data reveals Paradigm controls roughly 1.91% of HYPE's total supply, with $581 million now locked in staking. The firm delegated a portion to secure Hyperliquid's network while retaining 1.4 million tokens. Unlike typical VC-backed projects, Hyperliquid had operated with limited transparency until now, with Paradigm emerging as its most prominent backer.
The perp DEX's opaque funding history contrasts with HYPE's post-airdrop resilience, which avoided immediate sell-off pressures. Paradigm's stake delegation to Sonnet’s treasury further underscores long-term commitment to Hyperliquid's staking economy.
